5 Surprising Employee Development Statistics You Don't Know - but NEED to know!

I just read a great article on the power of employee development. Check out just two of the stats that are listed in this article:

  • As one of the top three non-financial motivators, 76% of employees want opportunities for career growth.

  • 40% of employees who receive poor job training leave their positions within the first year.

This should make all employers, managers & supervisors sit up and take note! If we want to retain great employees, to ensure that they are well-equipped to function at their best, and to infuse positive growth into our organizations, then we can see evidence that we must institute an employee development program to support our goals and theirs.

If you're a Massachusetts-based company, don't overlook the opportunity to get free training with the Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund. I'll be posting a link soon with more information from colleagues of mine that help organizations in the grant-writing process.

In the meantime, if you want to read more of that great article with other fascinating statistics (that you can show to your manager to support your training goals), check it out here: http://blog.clearcompany.com/5-surprising-employee-development-statistics-you-dont-know
